Gladys A. Page, 83, of Lynn died peacefully Tuesday, January 29th after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Robert Kerr. In 1950 she married her best friend, Robert, with whom she shared the deepest and most sincere love for over 62 years.

Gladys was a jack-of-all-trades, working at a variety of careers over the years including GE, Raytheon, Saugus General Hospital and as secretary for Dr. William Shub. She retired from NYNEX as a Telephone Sales Representative in 1989. Gladys was a long time communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield where she also volunteered, teaching CCD to first communion classes for many years. She was a member of the Franco American AMVETS Women's auxiliary for many years donating her time and support for various charitable causes.

A genuine and likable woman, Gladys made friends everywhere, with people and animals alike. She had an enchanting quality, which was apparent to anyone who had the pleasure to be in her company. For those who knew her well, she not only had an appetite for life, but for baking as well. When she wasn't in the kitchen trying new recipes or outside in the sun gardening, she could be found crafting or reading something from her stack of books. Her deep love of music came from her upbringing, and that passion stayed with her through the years. Later in life she could often be heard singing, humming or whistling a familiar tune.

Gladys gave selflessly of herself, her time and her love. The memory of her warmth, charm and love of life cannot be dimmed, and we will keep her alive and smiling in our hearts.
